Description :

    Mace is obtained from the nutmeg tree (Myristica fragrans). Mace is obtained from the bright yellow or green fruit of the nutmeg tree, which is approximately the size of an apricot. When the fruit ripens, it splits open to reveal a red or crimson-colored aril, which is the mace.The mace is carefully removed from the nutmeg fruit by hand. The arils are gently plucked, and any excess flesh or pulp is scraped away.After drying, the mace threads are sorted and graded based on their size, color, and quality. The best quality mace is typically bright red and free from impurities.
